The paperwork that is needed to sell a car varies by state, but in general includes documents such as a car title and bill of sale. If you live in Nevada and are wondering, “What paperwork do I need to sell my car?” the required documents are as follows:

Certificate of Title
Before it is signed off, all of the liens on the vehicle must be satisfied.
Pay close attention to how the owners are listed on the previous title as it changes how the document is signed off.
When the names of multiple owners are separated by an ‘‘and,’’ all owners stated must sign the document.
Multiple owners separated by an ‘‘or’’ only require one person signing off.
If misplaced or no longer readable, it must be replaced before the sale.
You are only exempt from completing this requirement if the vehicle is nine-plusmodel years old, has no current liens and was also previously titled in Nevada.
